PATTI ANN BROWNE is an anchor for Fox News Channel, Fox’s 24-hour news network, seen around the world on cable and satellite. FNC is the #1 cable news network, having surged ahead of CNN in 2002. It is based in New York City.

Browne has been with Fox since August 2000. She anchors headline updates -- sometimes during the day, sometimes during Fox's popular primetime lineup, including "Special Report with Brit Hume" and "Hannity and Colmes". She also appears every other week on "Red Eye", Fox's late-night talk show (midnight on west coast / 3am ET) which is rapidly becoming popular with younger viewers.

Browne subs in as host on many Fox shows. She has hosted more than 600 hour-long shows on Fox – spending countless hours on the air without a script, covering breaking news and conducting live interviews with newsmakers on national / international issues. Browne has also substituted for Shepard Smith as anchor of the highly rated “Fox Report”.

Browne also files reports for Fox NewsEdge, which provides news pieces to Fox broadcast TV stations nationwide (such as Fox 5 NY) for use on their local news programs. In addition, Browne is known to viewers worldwide as one of the faces of Fox International, which provides extra content to Fox channels around the globe. She also occasionally anchors short “webcasts” and “phonecasts” for Fox, which play on the internet, cell phones and other devices. Browne also anchors daily short radio updates on the Fox Radio Network, heard on hundreds of radio stations nationwide.

Browne joined Fox from MSNBC, where she hosted "Weekend Morning Line" and "Today In America", and anchored weekday updates. Browne anchored MSNBC's breaking news coverage of the JFK Jr. plane crash, and the raid in which Elian Gonzalez was seized. MSNBC is a nationwide 24-hour cable news network co-owned by Microsoft and NBC, based in Secaucus, NJ.

While part of the NBC News network, Browne also occasionally filled in as a news anchor on CNBC, NBC's 24-hour cable business network.

Prior to MSNBC, Browne was at News 12 Long Island, Cablevision's 24-hour cable news channel covering Nassau and Suffolk counties in NY. She co-anchored the station's highest-rated show -- its 3-hour morning news program. Browne first joined News 12 as a general assignment reporter, covering major stories such as the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Browne also hosted Reporter Roundtable, News 12's weekly half-hour news talk show. Browne received praise for her live coverage from the scene of the Long Island Railroad massacre, and for her un-scripted anchoring of the crash of TWA Flight 800.

Browne gained network affiliate experience as a full-time anchor/reporter at WSJV-TV in South Bend, Indiana, heading the station's Michigan Bureau.

Browne's first television job was nightly anchor and News Director of WLIG-TV 55, seen in New York City and on Long Island. Browne's broadcast career began in radio, at WLIM-AM on Long Island, NY, where she was morning-drive news anchor.
